REDEMPTION and MATERIALIZATION of the ROMA PASS in APP:
If you have already purchased the Roma Pass from the website www.romapass.it or through one of the authorized retailers, you will have received an e-mail with a link, a QR Code, a PNR code and a Title Code.
Follow this procedure:
• With an active internet connection, click on the link directly from your smartphone or scan the QR Code and you will be guided to the Google Play Store (if you use an Android smartphone) or the Apple App Store (if you use an iPhone) where you can download the App.
• Open the Roma Pass App and register your account.
• You will be redirected directly to the Roma Pass redemption form, where you will already find the PNR and Title Code fields pre-filled and you will have to enter the name and surname of the RP holder.
Alternatively, you can always download the app yourself and then access the Roma Pass redemption form, where you will first type the PNR and Title Code and then enter the name and surname of the RP holder.
If you downloaded the RP App from the Google Play Store (if you use an Android smartphone) or the Apple App Store (if you use an iPhone), you can choose and purchase the RP directly from the homepage.
Once purchased, with an active internet connection, access the “My Tickets” section of the App where the Roma Pass will be displayed as Roma Pass Museum (for access to museum sites) and Roma Pass Public Transport (for access to ATAC public transport), ready to use.
NOTE: We do not recommend migrating from one device to another except in the event of theft and loss, always using myCicero assistance in these cases. For the migration to be successful, it is necessary to wait about ten minutes.
ROMA PASS MUSEUM ACTIVATION:
With an active internet connection, go to the “My Tickets” section of the App and click on the Museum ticket to view the QR Code to present to the access control operator at the site.
Remember that you can choose at each museum or archaeological site to use one of your available prepaid entries or purchase a reduced ticket at the site ticket office.
IMPORTANT: The first view of the Roma Pass Museum QR Code (which does NOT activate the validity of the card) requires an active and stable internet connection; we therefore suggest you do it with an internet connection, before arriving at the museum/archaeological site. You can then view this QR Code offline as well.
IMPORTANT: The first scan, at a Museum, activates the Museum section of the card and initializes its validity.
IMPORTANT: In the absence of a connection, the App may show a message indicating that it is not possible to download other titles, but those already downloaded will still be accessible.
TO VISIT A MUSEUM:
Follow this procedure:
1.Open the app and go to “My Tickets”;
2.Tap the Roma Pass Museum title to view the QR Code;
3.Confirm to the museum operator whether you want to use prepaid/free admission or reduced admission and show the QR Code;
4.The on-site operator will scan the QR Code to validate entry;
5.Check the Roma Pass Museum title to see if the correct ticket has been validated; if not, immediately report it to the museum operator or myCicero customer care.
IMPORTANT: In case of problems with viewing or reading the QR Code, the museum can still register the entrance by manually entering the PNR code and the Roma Pass Title code.
To see the full list of museums and archaeological sites included in Roma Pass 72 Hours and Roma Pass 48 Hours, see the MUSEUMS section.
For other services, see the UNUSUAL ROUTES, ATTRACTIONS and TOURIST SERVICES sections of the RomaPass website.
ROMA PASS PUBLIC TRANSPORT ACTIVATION:
Before using the first mode of transport, click on the Public Transport ticket and manually activate the title; this displays the QRCode, which you can present at the Metro gates to open them or to ATAC staff for inspection on board the bus/tram. Activating the Roma Pass Public Transport starts the validity of the transport permit, so remember to activate it only when you start using the means of transport.
It must be activated to be able to use public transport (ATAC) or to open the metro gates.
IMPORTANT: Activating the Roma Pass Public Transport requires an active internet connection; you can then access your travel pass and view its QR code offline.
IMPORTANT: In the absence of an internet connection, when accessing the section “My tickets”, the App may show a message indicating that it is not possible to download other titles, but those already downloaded and activated will still be accessible.
USE OF ROMA PASS PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Click above the Public Transport ticket and view the QR Code, to be passed on the readers to open the metro gates or to be shown to Atac staff on board the buses/trams, in case of an on-board check.
